CI NAU Sets Two New Records in HSK

On September 19, 2025 (Beijing Time), Chinese Testing International formally released the results of the global HSK test held on August 17, 2025. This was the third HSK test of the year organized by the Confucius Institute at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), with 106 candidates sitting for levels HSK3 to HSK5. The overall pass rate reached 84.9%, marking yet another milestone achievement.



HSK Level 3: Record-High Pass Rate

A total of 58 students sat for the HSK3 exam, with 54 passing, yielding a record 93.1% pass rate—the highest in the Institute’s history. Remarkably, three candidates achieved a perfect score of 300/300. The test center’s average score was 256.62, significantly higher than the global average of 230.91, placing it 30th worldwide among 1,416 HSK test centers.


HSK Level 4: Steady Progress

13  students sat  HSK4, with 9 passing, representing a 69.2% pass rate. The top score was 290, while the test center's average was 205.38, slightly above the global average of 204.84, ranking 65th worldwide.


HSK Level 5: New Global Ranking Breakthrough

For HSK5, 35 students participated and 27 passed, achieving a 77.1% pass rate. The highest score was 256, and the center's average reached 206.26, significantly higher than the global average of 199.82. 

The Institute ranked 54th worldwide, setting a new record in its history for HSK5 performance.
